The 2019 Ambulance Leadership Forum
The yearly Ambulance Leadership Forum (ALF) is organised by the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) and takes place at the Chesford Grange Hotel & Conference Centre, Warwickshire, on 19th and 20th of March 2019.
The ALF gathering has become recognised as the most important date in the UK ambulance calendar as it’s the only time when the UK’s ambulance leaders come together with NHS colleagues, commissioners, other NHS healthcare leaders and overseas colleagues to share current challenges, discuss strategies for the future and learn from experts and leaders in a variety of disciplines - from both here and abroad. Celebrating success is also a feature with outstanding service from across the UK recognised at the ALF Awards Dinner.
Ambulance Trust Employees
If you work for one of the AACE Member's Ambulance Trusts, as in previous years, you are entitled to receive a subsidised place at ALF 2019.
You should not register here, instead your booking will be co-ordinated through the Trust CEOs’ office - please follow this link.
If you do not work in an Ambulance Trust, but are employed by the wider NHS, you are entitled to a 25% discount on your ALF booking (excluding hotel accommodation). Simply enter the code NHS2019 when prompted on the Order Summary page and click "Apply" before completing your order.
The Global Paramedic Leadership Alliance Summit
Following the success of the 2018 GPLA employee mental health event, ALF 2019 is followed immediately by the 2019 Global Paramedic Leadership Alliance (GPLA) Summit, taking place at the same venue on 21st and 22nd March.
AACE are proud to host this important summit for another year. The GPLA Summit brings together a firm commitment between ambulance associations from the UK, Canada, America and Australasia to share best practice and research across a wide range of topics and especially to ensure that mental health stigma is mitigated across the pre-hospital care arena.
The programme will include progress over the last 12 months in relation to employee mental health across the host nations considering new research and interventions. We will also be exploring employee mental health and wellbeing from the wider organisational culture context considering its impact upon our staff. We hope to build on last year’s success of colleagues learning from both national and international colleagues, whilst providing ample opportunity for interaction, discussion and solution-finding.
The CAA, PCC, NEMSMA & AACE have ten prepaid places available to them (for the Summit) so liaise with your home association before making your GPLA booking. Use this site if you are paying your own way or need further items such as ALF days or additional accommodation.
